Pretty self-explanatory, eh?

I'm gonna have to go with Evans.

I just think they have some wicked cool stuff as well as just having lots of head variety...and they last a long time, too.

Now, when it comes to bass drum heads...Aquarian Super Kick II all the way.
Drums aren't loud...only drummers.

As always.

Personally, I'm an Aquarian kind of guy. Those things last FOREVER.
It needs more double-bass...no...seriously...

I use Aquarian and Remo. Both make great heads. I tried Evans and have bought drums that came with Evans heads. I just did not like the sound or feel. Drum heads are like ice cream, some like strawberry and some like plain. I will agree with SkipperDrumr Super Kick is a great sounding BD head.

That has got to be one of the best analogies for drum heads I've ever seen.
John Queen likes paradiddles...so should you.

I seem to stick with single ply coated heads, but I've tried some 2 ply clear and really dig them in a close mic situation. If you're having a problem with a tom try a Coated Aquarian Studio X head. They seem to be a little forgiving on a tom that may have problems. The collar seem to fit better than other brands. They cut some of the unwanted overtones that can be a problem.

It's all about marketing... Evans has the best looking packaging, thus they are the most popular drum head manufacturer these days.
