That looks like an absolutely tasty list of drummers you have there, funky.

Here's a good list of 5:
-Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater)
-George Kollias (Nile)
-I'm gonna have to second Jojo Mayer
-Terreon Gully
-Steve Smith

Wicked drummers, in my opinion...as well as just cool dudes.
Drums aren't loud...only drummers.

Bingo!

I would list drummers off that I love...if I could even say their names...much less spell them.

Darn you Swedish people and your multi-consonant-in-a-row names...and your freaking umlauts and dashes!
It needs more double-bass...no...seriously...

by the way, you may have noticed who was NOT on my list:
Mike Portnoy.

no offense to any of his fans here, but in my opinion, he's totally over-rated. he plays the same drum fill on every song. i don't deny the obvious talent level of all the musicians in DT, but i get a little tired of hearing the same stuff over and over.

there is no reason to give thought to whom the greatest drummer is, it's Glenn Kotche!! Aside from the fact that any member of Wilco kicks the pants off any other musician in his field, kotche has taken drumming to a new place entirely. If you have never seen his setup, check out the August '07 edition of Modern Drummer Magazine. I assure you, you have never seen anything like it: creative and unconventional; an exploration in percussive sound. so you can stop listing the signature series names around you; God has a new name, and it's glenn. live him, love him. buy his music.
Wilco Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
Wilco Sky Blue Sky
Wilco A Ghost is Born
The Minus 5 Down with Wilco

so it seems everybody's playing with Jack DeJohnette's stick these days (including myself), but has anyone seen why? go to drummerworld.com and check out the HUGE list of HUGE names he's played with: John Coltrane, Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Chet Baker, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Santana... i challenge you to find a bigger list of names.
gotta throw some respect towards ole' Jackie.
