Show the locals some love!

Maybe there are too many to have favorites... who do you dig?

Show the locals some love!

Figured I'd start a thread to give props to some of the local cats. (Be sure to include your hometown in your post.) One drummer from Birmingham, AL whose progress over the last few years I've been impressed with is Quinn Collins of Looney Mill. It's not easy to be a drummer in a jam band, gotta have lots of tricks up your sleeve. Mad props to the Q-man! (no, not Quagmire)

Sky Bucket Records

Postby reeverbythespeaker on Fri Jul 06, 2007 1:12 pm

If you are unfamiliar with Sky Bucket Records, it's time to get acquainted. it's a local label for the up-and-coming in rock. run by some of the most fabulous people in town, they have a two disc sampler available at only the coolest birmingham record stores. if it ain't mom-and-pops, sky bucket didn't even stop by. i don't feel it's even necessary to tell you that there are some amazing drummers on there.

the local drummer i know to be rockin, is rajaan, whose last name i won't mention. he recently toured with dan sartain, and is presently playing with the dirty lungs. if you want to see real rockin, see either of these acts. props to my man, rajaan.
