Mapex ftw!

Who is your favorite drum builder (even if you don't own one)?

Mapex ftw!

Mapex fan. I play a 6pc Saturn (18x20, 5.5x14, 10,12,14F,16F) and I own a couple of Black Panther Deep Forest Walnut snares (6.5x14, 5.5x10). I dig the look of Mapex drums, but the sound of their walnut drums (Saturn is a walnut/maple blend) is so sweet.

I must admit though... I'm lookin' forward to checkin' out the new Ludwig drums.

I own a Satrun kit also. I do really enjoy playing these drums. I've also picked up a Bronze Ludwig snare (5.5X14). This snare has quickly become my favorite all around snare. As far as drums I do not own, but have liked what I've heard. DW, Spaun and Pork Pie kits are all that I have heard live and liked.

I use a Mapex!!!

Though it's a pretty cheap one, and probably needs new drumheads by now...I still love it. And it's great to have when friends come over to jam.

The Mapex drum sets are awesome, that's fact. They are just rockin' drums. The finishes they've come up with have got to be some of the coolest I've seen in a while that have been on non-custom drums.

Personally, I'm a major fan of the Black Panther snares.
John Queen likes paradiddles...so should you.

Twinkle, twinkle, Little Star...

Man, Mapex has got some of the most bomb-diggity sparkles I've seen in a while.

The wood blends they do are cool since they give you some cool new sound stages to play around on.
Drums aren't loud...only drummers.

Ok....I like Mapex ( I have a Mars Pro Kit) and I dig the Saturn kits.

However, Gretsch is my fav - I have two of those, including a walnut Purewood Renown kit. Besides, "Gretsch" translates to my name, according to a wise, knowledgable.....uh, well, anyway.....a drum teacher I once knew,

Anyhow, Gretsch is where it's at for me.
